Project “The Start of Emonika Construction” Receives the Prizma Award for Excellence in Communication Programmes
Mendota Invest, part of the OTP Group and the lead investor behind the Emonika development, has received the Prizma Award for the project “The Start of Emonika Construction”. The Prizma Award, presented by the Slovenian Public Relations Society (PRSS), is the national professional award recognising excellence in public relations and communication programmes. The awards ceremony took place as part of the 27th Slovenian Public Relations Conference, held on 21 May 2026 in Portorož.

Groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of construction on Emonika
Construction of the Emonika complex in Ljubljana officially entered its next phase, as OTP Group hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at the project site. With the laying of a symbolic capsule, the ceremony marked the formal start of construction on what is set to become the city’s most significant private urban development in decades.

Archaeological excavations carried out ahead of the start of construction of the Emonika mixed-use complex have offered valuable insight into the history of ancient Emona, once again proving that construction works in Ljubljana frequently uncover surprising historical findings. On the site of the future complex, archaeologists discovered artefacts that provide a vivid picture of life in Roman Emona.
