Archaeological excavations require precision, patience and expertise. The photographic exhibition at Krakovo Embankment, on display from 24 February to 31 March 2025, offers a unique insight into this process – through the lens of a camera.
The exhibited photographs capture key moments from the excavations at the Emonika site, showing how traces of ancient Emona gradually emerged from beneath the layers of earth.
Visitors will be able to see detailed scenes of the documentation of finds, conservation processes and the work of archaeologists in the field. The exhibition does not only tell the story of discoveries but also highlights the dedication and expertise of those who ensure that history is preserved for future generations.
